Texan Salad

Ingredients for :

4 people
4 Units Tortillas
2 Units Steaks
1 Unit Salad
150 g Sweetcorn
Red pepper
1 Unit Red pepper
Pinches Salt
Pinches Pepper

Pour la marinade :

1 Clove Garlic
Fresh ginger
1 Unit Fresh ginger
Olive oil
4 Dessert spoons Olive oil
Four-spice mix
2 g Four-spice mix

Method :

  1. Make the marinade: peel and remove germ from garlic. Peel and finely chop ginger. Stir together garlic, ginger, oil and spices.
  2. Cut beef steaks into thin slices and place in a dish with the marinade. Cover with cling wrap and refrigerate.
  3. Rinse and dry the lettuce.
  4. Drain corn and rinse under cold water.
  5. Wash, seed and cut pepper into round slices. Sear sliced pepper in olive oil. Season.
  6. Drain and quickly sear beef slices, add corn and pepper.
  7. Place tortillas on a plate covered with cling wrap, warm them in microwave for 2 minutes (reduce power setting).
  8. Spread some of the Shallot & Chive Whipped Cheese on the tortillas. Arrange in a bowl and place salad. Spread the beef mixture. Add remaining cheese. Enjoy.

Paysan Breton tip

Minced beef may be used instead of sliced beef. To prevent the tortillas from drying, lower the power setting on your microwave.
