Christmas chocolate shortbread paysan breton butter

Ingredients for :

4 people
100 g Flour
Cocoa powder
100 g Cocoa powder
Brown sugar
100 g Brown sugar
Paysan Breton UHT semi-skimmed milk
5 cl Paysan Breton UHT semi-skimmed milk
Baking powder
1 Teaspoon Baking powder

Method :

  1. Melt the butter and the milk then bring to the boil.
  2. Mix together the flour, cocoa, sugar and baking powder in a mixing bowl.
  3. Pour the melted butter mixture on top and knead into a smooth dough.
  4. Shape the chocolate dough into a ball, then roll it out to a thickness of 2 mm on a floured work surface.
  5. Cut out shapes with a biscuit cutter.
  6. Repeat until you have used up all of the dough.
  7. Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes at 180°C.

Paysan Breton tip

If desired, you can decorate the shortbread with icing made with icing sugar and a little water.
