I'm a sales manager for the Paysan Breton brand. My job involves liaising with supermarkets in a specific geographic area. We work with supermarket department managers and their teams. My duties are varied:

  • selling existing and new items, and getting them into stores.
  • monitoring our various ranges at points of sale (recommending product placement, appropriate display levels, and tracking trends in revenues)
  • promoting and negotiating the sales process (highlighting products, display units, crêpe boxes, island displays) in light of our customers' requirements and capabilities.
  • passing on national or regional leaflets to our contacts, approving quantities and means of highlighting products.
  • reorganising displays.

I liaise directly with my area manager, Vincent with regard to all these tasks.

3 questions to Muriel

What does Paysan Breton mean to you?
In two words, "Paysan Breton" (or "Breton Farmer") sums up the cooperative and local values that form the basis of the brand. Paysan Breton is about milk sourced from western France, which adds value to our products.
What's your favourite Paysan Breton product?
I always have a tub of Madame Loïk Whipped Cheese in my fridge!
What's your favourite associated recipe?
I'd recommend plain Madame Loïk samosas with brick pastry, smoked salmon, dill and Espelette pepper. They should be eaten hot as an appetiser or starter!
